Local Archeology
Our area has been inhabited for thousands of years, evidence of this is all around, for example the Neolithic burial mound on top of Whiteleaf hill. A recent dig at Monks Risborough parish church has shown continual occupation by successive cultures since Neolithic times. A number of reports have been published which although in the public domain are sometimes hard to find. Included here is a report by English Heritage on Princes Risborough which gives a wonderful overview of the history
